Background:

The main areas of expertise of Dr. Mustafa Okan YAÄžCI are EU law, competition law, corporate & commercial law, international trade law, international commercial arbitration, and investment arbitration. 

​

Academically, Dr. YAÄžCI worked as the research assistant of Prof. William F. Fox in the areas of international business transactions, international commercial agreements, alternative dispute resolution methods, and arbitration during his LL.M. study. Between 2013 and 2016, he worked at Yeditepe University Faculty of Law as a research fellow. He assisted the classes of / gave lectures with Prof. Dr. Haluk KabaalioÄŸlu, former dean of Yeditepe University Faculty of Law and Jean Monnet Professor of EU Law, and Prof. Dr. Vilenas Vadapalas, a former judge at the General Court of the EU. Dr. YAÄžCI worked in the ELFA-European Law Faculties Association as the Secretary-General between 2014 and 2015 in addition to his works at Yeditepe. He is the coordinator (or alike titled) of 7 international academic events, and he made speeches in various international academic meetings.

As a practitioner, Dr. YAÄžCI served in a US affiliated law firm in Istanbul between 2010 and 2012. He also worked in the Basque Competition Authority [Autoridad Vasca de la Competencia (AVC)] as a paid intern between the dates of August 2016 and January 2017.
